SEND Teaching Assistant

Salary: £95 - £110 p/d

The Role
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated One-to-One Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in a school in Manchester. Working closely with teachers and the SENCO, you will focus on meeting the individual needs of a specific child, helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored one-to-one support to a pupil with SEN, such as SEMH, ASD, or ADHD, adapting to their unique needs.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, ensuring the pupil can fully participate and engage
• Encourage a positive and inclusive experience through personalised interventions and consistent support
• Help the pupil develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to align support with the child’s educational plan
• Track and record the pupil’s progress, sharing insights with teaching staff to support their development

What we are looking for
• Knowledge of supporting children with special educational needs in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with children, staff and families
• Ideally experience working with children or young people in an education, care, or support role (not mandatory).
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature, with a passion for improving young lives.
